Mhh...

For posting something for this upcomming season of anime

I have a wonderful ammount of nothing.

Kind of... still strugling with the lack of a propper rig to watch anime with, i might start a donation drive for that!
I've seen one episode of K-on and i must say i wasn't all that impressed, but as a fellow otaku friend said, it will be the most commercial title of the season (except for Basquash, maybe)

Ah, before I forget, the layout for the blog came out around october, but i kind of got used to it, despite looking so stupid... I might go and change it if i ever decide to take this seriously, since it, as of now, has turned into nothing more than just another anime/manga blog... mhhh... bye for now.

Well, it's a bit late but it's time to post a mid-season report!

Let's start with the top shows in my watch list.

Kannagi.
The crazy shrine maiden we all love, this show that has taken 2chan heart by the balls and then came with the "used" disaster, the art has been consistent and the animation has been overall good, in the story development department it feels kind of slow, as there has been little develop for the story so far and with 4 episodes to come it seems to be aiming for a rushed ending or a second season, I wonder what happened with all the "impurity" hunting? I guess I'll have to read the manga to find out more; either way this one is really funny anime well worth watching.

ToraDora.
Despite my reclutant attitude at this Tsundere anime (and Rie Kugimiya AGAIN), it has proven to hook me well. Acording to very reliable sources, the manga art is superior to that used in the anime, and apparently this has caused lot of RAGE among fans, since I haven't checked the manga I can't really tell, but the anime direction is well achieved, the Harem factor wasn't obvious until around the 4th episode and it's really obvious that Taiga and Ryuuji are falling for eachother, typical plot of this kind of anime/manga, but the characters are really enjoyable and just can't wait to see how things will develop further on, again another one with only 4 more episodes left, but this one has been constantly developing but yet no ending is completely clear at this point, let's just hope they don't screw this one.

Casshern SINS.
I had my doubts when started watching Casshern, but it quickly became one of my favorites as we get to learn bits of Casshern's past at the same rate he is, how from being the villain he is starting to become the hero. The story is slowly progressing and also is really touching sometimes, it's quite the dramatic anime and is good at it, a change from all the comedy from the rest of my watch of this season. In a different matter, the styled characters are quite eyecandy, the robots all have a something that makes them different from eachother and the backgrounds keep being awesome, I really recomend this one.

Michiko to Hatchin.
This one has been running a bit slower than the rest as it aired lot later and then soccer games interrupted the broadcast, but still, studio manglobe once again shows a great quality piece, the rookie director, Sayo Yamamoto, seems to be heavily influenced by other anime; the animation is great and the music is just awesome. The siyuu work is a bit odd for Hatchin as she sounds too old for her age, but otherwise is just fine.

Well, after being writting this for quite a while i got bored and tired, so for now this is it, soon i'll post more stuff (hopefully :) so see ya.

Yet another one

So halloween is comming.... soon enough we'll have some parties and tons of candy to consume :D

Let's talk business, i'll post yet another blog entry about current season's anime.

First in order is Kannagi:
it has great potential, it's really fun to watch and the animation has a nice flow, studio A1 is really shining with this one, story-wise it's even better, the characters are fun despite not showing their full development yet (i know, i could read the manga and find out, but i don't want to spoil myself just yet :b).

Michiko to Hatchin: this one is made by the same folks that made Samurai Champloo, so we can already expect crazy stuff and great animation, and the first episode does not fail to comply.
Writers and screen play are made in such a way that in t
he first episode alone you fall inlove of Hana and immediately side with her and a sudden desire for the blood of her step family surges, and Michiko short screen time gives you enough to know she's fucking cool and wont doubt on putting a bullet up your nose if you give her a small reason. So you can say this is a must watch for this season.

Hyakko: i was initially driven into this one because Aya Hirano is voicing a main character in this one, but i couldn't stand more than two episodes without getting sick of the character design, the sometimes weird style at drawing and other annoying stuff (like the voices, oh my god i can't stand the characters).

ToraDora!: Despite my initial doubts because of this being heavy tsundere type of show, it has proven to be quite ammusing and fun, Taiga is such a bitch, but can't avoid liking her clumsyness (yay, moe mixing~) but Yuuji despite being cool is rather a push over (and also a cleaning freak to make things worst) i guess he can't avoid helping someone that needs it, even if he tries...

Tales of the Abyss: I had my doubts with this one... it's a watchable show, but i will say it's not that big of a deal, the characters are a portrait of their own sterotype and the action pace is good to keep you enterteined, the addition of the tipical pet was the most annoying thing of the show, it's not even cute enough to justify it's "nyuu" noices and overall "cute" quirkyness, i wish they stabbed the damn thing and went on... anyway, this is a good thing to watch if you don't have anything else to do.

Shikibane hime: Aka; this one, despite having the Gainax seal, is rather dull... the shooting sequences are still a staple of them pulling the strings behind the courtains, but the show still lacks some certain something to make it take off, i'll keep watching and giving it the benefit of the doubt and see if it gets better.

Kurogane no linebarrels: no comments, don't ask, just keep on moving (=__=)

Casshern SINS: This one is for the fans of the old super heroes type of shows, BUT, this time he is more like a villain just he doesn't remember, if you havent watched the old show and the movie that prequel this anime, you can still be hooked to it and be in the same state of mind Casshern is, it's interesting enough to keep you wondering what happened and where the story will develop... that is, despite all the emo stuff and Saint Seiya style of drawings (that i must say look WAY more styled than before) the anime is good in eyecandy as it has a good design of characters and ocassionaly pretty cool backgrounds.

And that's it for now, be nice with me as this is my first post about anime, will keep posting and maybe finally get my friend to participate with some sort of webcomic, until next time~!
